GuideOn Legal Services founder Jack Grimes has over 20 years of experience in estate planning with the United States Air Force JAG Corps Reserve and is one of very few attorneys in the country with an LL.M. (Master of Laws) in Estate Planning and Elder Law. Jack has developed unique estate planning products (wills, trusts, powers-of-attorney, advanced medical directives, cryptocurrency & digital asset protection products) tailored to address the great diversity of American families and individual life situations.
The GuideOn Legal Services motto Live Long, End Strong®, epitomizes the full life-cycle approach our firm dedicates to estate planning. It starts with the end in mind, and then builds a lifetime and legacy plan, culminating in the peace of mind that comes with protecting your family's future by preserving assets from taxes, probate costs, legal issues, and unnecessary financial risk.
Bringing a Business, Military, and Intelligence Background to His Firm
Prior to launching his own law firm, Jack enjoyed a diverse career in government, business, and law. After working at a large New Jersey law firm, Jack enlisted in the United States Army as a Cavalryman where, following 9/11, his unit received the Presidential Unit Citation in Iraq for "extraordinary heroism in action against an armed enemy."
Following his military service in the Army, Jack spent many years as an analyst in the United States Intelligence community. He was then recruited by a Fortune 500 company where, as a Vice President, he successfully managed more than $180 million in revenue with responsibility for the care and development of over 300 employees, all of whom were providing vital services to the U.S. Government.
Jack has also held positions at the White House Office of Management & Budget (OMB), United States Congress, and was mentored at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
This background has informed Jack's passion for estate planning and was the catalyst for his desire to set up a practice with specialty services in this area of law. Jack combines his estate planning experience as an Air Force JAG Corps officer with his background in finance, business, investing, public policy, and legislation to help everyday American families navigate the complex world of estate planning.
Additionally, Jack is married and he and his wife Kristin, an FBI attorney, have three young children. Jack is very active in the community as an assistant hockey coach and Cub Scout Den leader.
When you are ready, GuideOn Legal Services will be there to help develop and implement a plan to preserve your hard-earned savings for those you love.
